Where is Quadzilla located?

Quadzilla X Adventures is based at the Atlantis Dunes, located within the Witzands Aquifer Nature Reserve, northwest of Cape Town. Our meeting point is at our main base at the entrance to the dunes. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled tour for check-in, permit purchase and the safety briefing, and allow 45–60 minutes' travel time from central Cape Town.

Do I need quad biking experience?

No experience is required to join our guided tours at Atlantis Dunes. Each session begins with a full safety briefing and induction (approximately 3–5 minutes) covering quad bike controls, acceleration, braking, riding technique, trail safety and dune navigation. Most of our riders are first-timers: the quads have a simple thumb-throttle and hand-brake with no gears and no clutch, and guides ride with you and adjust the spacing so you always feel comfortable.

How long is the quad biking tour?

Quadzilla X Adventures offers 30-minute and 1-hour guided quad biking tours at Atlantis Dunes, Cape Town. Tour duration includes a safety briefing and riding induction before heading out onto the dunes.

How many people can join a tour?

Standard guided tour groups at Atlantis Dunes take up to 8 riders per group for safety and a quality experience. For larger groups, corporate events or team-building bookings, contact info@quadzilla.co.za in advance.

Bring closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothing, sunscreen and a camera or phone to capture your adventure. Quadzilla X Adventures provides reliable quad bikes, safety helmets and hairnets, with all equipment regularly serviced.

Do you offer private quad biking tours?

Yes. Private quad biking tours at Atlantis Dunes are available for couples, families and groups who want a more personalised experience, and are ideal for special occasions, corporate events and content creators. Contact info@quadzilla.co.za for availability and pricing.

Can I book in advance?

Yes, advance booking is required to secure your preferred date and time. Availability is limited and tours often fill up quickly, especially on weekends, during school holidays and in peak tourist season, so we recommend booking online in advance.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Quad biking at Atlantis Dunes runs in most weather conditions. If extreme weather makes the activity unsafe, your booking will be rescheduled at your convenience. Cape Town weather can differ from conditions at the dunes; weather-related cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled tour, otherwise standard cancellation terms apply.

Q: How much does quad biking cost?

Quad biking tours at Atlantis Dunes start from R650 per person for a 30-minute guided ride. 1-hour tours are from R950 per person and private 1-hour tours from R1299 per person. The R300 per person permit fee is excluded and must be paid separately on arrival to access the Witzands Aquifer Nature Reserve.

Nature Reserve Permit Fees

The Atlantis Dunes are part of the protected Witzands Aquifer Nature Reserve. Every rider and sandboarder needs an entry permit, which is not included in our tour prices. Permits are bought at the reserve's permit office when you arrive. Please arrive 30 minutes before your tour to allow time for this.

Plan ahead: the reserve is closed on Wednesdays (except public holidays) and on Christmas Day. The permit office closes daily at 15:30.

How much does quad biking cost in Cape Town?

Quad biking with Quadzilla at the Atlantis Dunes costs from R650 per person for a 30-minute guided ride, R950 for 1 hour and R1 299 for a private 1-hour tour. Add the R300 per person nature reserve permit, paid on arrival.

Is the permit included in the price?

No. The Witzands Aquifer Nature Reserve permit is paid separately on arrival at the reserve: R300 per person for quad biking, and R96 per adult or R60 per child for sandboarding. The permit office closes daily at 15:30.

Is there a minimum age?

The minimum age for quad biking is 5 years, and riders aged 13 and older can ride their own quad. The minimum age for sandboarding is 12 years.

Do you offer group discounts?

Our Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal gives three riders a 1-hour quad biking session for R1 900. For larger groups, parties and corporate team-building, email info@quadzilla.co.za for a group quote.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or postpone, and we will reschedule your session. Tours depart on the hour and do not wait for late arrivals.

Can I combine quad biking and sandboarding?

Yes. Our combo deal gives you a 30-minute quad ride plus sandboarding for R650 per person. The quad biking permit (R300) and sandboarding permit (R96 adult) are paid separately on arrival.
