Atlantis Dunes, situated northwest of Cape Town. Meeting spot is at our main base in the parking area of the Reserve. Please ensure to arrive 30 minutes early to your tour and allow time for travel - we're approximately 45-60 minutes from central Cape Town.
After a full safety briefing and sandboarding instruction, you’ll head out with our friendly and professional guides who know exactly where the best dunes for fun and learning begin. Your guide will take action shots captured on your own device — ready to share before the sand settles.
No Experience Required. This Activity Takes Place “At Your Own Risk”
Up to12 participants per sandboarding group to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. For larger group bookings, please contact us in advance to make arrangements.

Tours at Atlantis Dunes run daily, subject to availability. Witzands Nature Reserve is closed on Wednesdays, except where the Wednesday falls on a public holiday. Closed on Christmas day. Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled tour for check-in and safety briefing.

All guided sandboarding experiences at Atlantis Dunes are available in different time options depending on the package selected. Each session includes a safety briefing and full guidance throughout your experience.
*Please note our cancellation policy: we require at least 24 hrs notice if your booking is to be cancelled/postponed. If cancellation is made at least 24 hrs before the scheduled booking, we can reschedule your session.
Our guided Quad Bike Cape Town tour offers an exciting way to explore the iconic Atlantis Dunes. Enjoy thrilling rides while learning about the dunes, aquifer, and the unique, endangered flora and fauna of this protected Cape Town nature reserve.

Our tours depart on the hour mark. Non-private tours do not wait for late arrivals (similar to a train 😉). If you miss your tour we will try to add you to the next available group (subject to availability) at a different time or you will get the remaining time of the tour you initially selected or we will add you to the next available date which triggers a R500 rebooking fee.
